Job Overview

We are seeking a Site Safety Coordinator to support safety efforts on active commercial construction projects. This position will work closely with project teams and field personnel to help maintain a safe and organized work environment.

The ideal candidate will have previous construction safety experience, strong communication skills, and knowledge of OSHA requirements. This role requires someone who is comfortable working on active construction sites, communicating safety expectations, and addressing potential concerns as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Support and promote company safety policies and procedures on active construction sites.
  • Conduct routine site safety observations and identify potential safety concerns.
  • Communicate safety expectations with employees, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Assist with safety meetings and other safety-related discussions.
  • Help ensure employees and subcontractors follow established site safety requirements.
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, and records as required.
  • Communicate safety concerns to project leadership and assist with appropriate follow-up.
  • Assist with incident documentation when necessary.
  • Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and other team members to support a strong safety culture.
  • Stay familiar with applicable OSHA requirements and company safety procedures.

Experience

  • Construction safety experience required.
  • Knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards required.
  • Previous experience working on active commercial construction sites preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, subcontractors, supervisors, and management.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to recognize potential safety concerns and communicate them appropriately.
  • Comfortable working in an active construction environment and outdoors as needed.
  • Safety certifications are a plus but are not required unless otherwise specified by the company.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
